YES! Our HOSA group has sent students to State and National competitions. In years past, we enjoyed similar success in DECA. We have fielded E-Sports teams, Robotics teams, and even sponsored an FBLA group. We have a robust National Honors Society group that participates in numerous service projects and our student council is active on campus. We also have a leadership class that is comprised of invitation only students who are given the invitation based on exceptional contributions to SLA.
We coined the phrase "Academic Excellence with Athletic Prowess" and live by this mantra.
We strive for our athletes to have above a 3.0 GPA which opens doors at the next level.

Currently, Salt Lake Academy receives students from 69 different feeder schools, each bringing varied academic preparation, behavioral expectations, and cultural norms. This leads to a steep learning curve in 9th grade, as we work to align students on academic language, foundational knowledge, expectations, and school culture.
By expanding down to kindergarten, we can intentionally cultivate a unified learning environment from day one. This allows us to:
Instill a shared academic language and high expectations across all grade levels.
Develop strong habits of learning, character, and behavior over time rather than retroactively.
Create a seamless educational experience where students grow up with the values and mission of Salt Lake Academy embedded in their daily lives.
Address the disengagement we are seeing at the 9th-grade level by nurturing a lifelong love of learning from the earliest years.
Ultimately, this expansion will allow us to proactively shape the learners and leaders our high school aims to serve, resulting in stronger student engagement, greater academic success, and a more unified school community.

*Starting for the 2025-2026 school year as Salt Lake Academy expands to two campuses:
There will be a "family bus" that runs in the morning from the Daybreak Trax station at the end of the red line to the West Herriman campus on Mustang Way. This is for the younger students who need an older sibling to ride the bus with them to school.
*If a student doesn't have a younger sibling, those High School students go directly from the Trax stop in Daybreak to the high school by riding the UTA bus, which stops right in front of the HS.
Once the "family bus" arrives at West Herriman campus, the K-8 students will enter the school, the HS students will remain on the bus until departure time ~ 8:35 (at which point the bus will go to ZBRA Campus on Academy Parkway).
Additionally --> if you drive your entire family to the West Herriman Campus, you can drop off your K-8 students to enter the school and your HS student can go ahead and jump on the bus which will depart to ZBRA ~8:35.
__________________________________________________________
After school, the "family bus" will depart ZBRA Campus on Academy Parkway at 3:35 and go directly to the West Herriman campus to pick up K-8 students. Once the K-8 students are picked up at West Herriman, the "family bus" will continue to the Daybreak Trax station for an estimated drop off of 4:00pm.
HS Students who go directly to the Daybreak Trax station will take UTA after school.
